The City of Trussville distributes natural gas to over 20,000 residential and commercial customers.
The City of Trussville utilizes flowGIS to support leak survey operations and the inspection of the city’s critical valves. The City of Trussville is also utilizing flowGIS mobile’s notification feature to distribute emails to gas department personnel when gas leaks are detected. Magnolia River continues to work with the City of Trussville to implement flowGIS mobile as part of the city’s natural gas system operation and maintenance workflows and processes.
Chesapeake (Delmarva) Utilities distributes natural gas to over 50,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Delaware and Maryland. Magnolia River was tasked to assist Chesapeake Utilities in converting from their current mapping system by moving their GIS editing to an in-house, web-based, and field-capable solution. Chesapeake selected Magnolia River’s flowGIS solution to gather and import data using their SQL-based Customer Information System (CIS) database. GIS data conversion and gas flow modeling services are being provided as part of the overall migration and implementation.
Magnolia River installed and configured ArcGIS Server to meet Delmarva’s needs for web mapping and mobile GIS needs. Delmarva Utilities will be using the custom data model and FX and NX applications to track leak status, aid in damage prevention and update gas facility information across all divisions. Delmarva will be utilizing the web and mobile GIS with 150 unique users both in the field and in the office.
Delmarva Utilities has recently implemented Magnolia River’s flowGIS mobile solution to perform inspections of critical facilities and to support distribution main location projects.
